The dynamic of a family relationship has evolved to the extent where the concept of unwed parents hardly ever raises an eyebrow in society anymore.  The Children’s Act (“Act 38 of 2005”) that was developed and came into full effect on the 1st April 2010, changed the law relating to children born of unmarried parents, especially with regard to the rights of the biological father.
